IED - Switch - Pressure Plate (High Metal Content)
The most common type of IED switch found in conflict zones. Are often constructed of two separate strips of conductive metal (common examples include saw blades and aluminium strips). Often found with rivets added to aid in wiring and due to the thickness of metal plates used it ensures that contact is made when the plates are compressed. HMC pressure plates using wood have also been seen in multiple conflict zones.
