The ML-1 is a point-detonating, self-destruct (PDSD) fuze. Its SD system is pyromechanical. The ML-1 is fitted to high explosive fragmentation (HE-frag) anti-aircraft artillery (AAA) projectiles of the 37 mm Type 55 towed anti-aircraft gun (a clone of the Russian M1939).
