No. 5 Hand Grenade
The No. 5 (Number 5) was a British, World War One Era developed, cast iron bodied, defensive high explosive fragmentation (HE-frag) hand grenade. The No. 5 would be improved over time resulting in at least two versions, Marks (Mk.), along with practice variants. Further improvement of the No. 5 would also result in the later No. 23 and No. 36 series of hand grenades.
