M86 PDM
The M86 is based on the wedge shaped mine used in the ADAM series of munition. This mine is still in service with the US Armed Forces. The mine is initiated by a collapsing circuit caused by pull or pressure on a tripwire. Upon initiation, 51g of liquid propellant (nitrocellulose based M10) launches the M43 fragmentation warhead upwards. It detonates at a height of 1m to 2m scattering approximately 600 steel fragments.
